Audio-Technica Design Language
2023 Cleveland Institute of Art
Redefining Audio-Technica’s design language and expanding the product line as a team.
AT-Sen is a pair of modular headphones designed and constructed as an example of a redefined brand language for Audio-Technica.
This project was a team-based project, to understand design language by exploring, redefining, and expanding an existing brand.
Our team selected Audio-Technica as our brand. The research process and definition of design language was heavily team-based with all members equally responsible for gathering research and submitting input.
Each of our five team members designed a product based on our research, while we collaborated significantly, each of us was entirely responsible for our own designs.
Based on interviews and a survey of 200+ respondents
72% of surveyed respondents had never heard of Audio-Technica.
57% of respondents said audio was a core part of their lifestyle.
